About me

I love figuring out how things are built. I grew up taking apart my watches for fun. 

I became a molecular biologist to understand how our bodies are put together, and how they can go wrong in diseases.

At Red Dot, I look at how people come together in teams and organisations so that they can offer products and services to others.

I love data, especially how it can be used to improve our lives. I also appreciate poetry, Urdu literature, and art. You can find something I painted at the top of this page!

Getting started with AI, Machine Learning and Data Science

So, you want to be a data scientist! Below are some tools that can help you get started.

Play
These are online games and tools that allow you to build AI and machine learning models.

• Teach a computer how to play a game, through Machine Learning for Kids
• Train a computer to recognise your images, sounds or poses on the Teachable Machine (by Google) 

• Build cool AI experiments with Google here.
• Play with a neural network on your browser.

Learn
These are online courses and materials from which you can learn about Machine Learning, AI and data science.

• DataCamp has free courses for machine learning, data science and python for data science.
• A guide to machine learning and data science on Udemy. It explains the difference between AI, machine learning and data science.
• Learn about multiple aspects of AI and machine learning with Google (including ethics).

Install
Do you want to get your hands dirty and build the algorithms yourself? Python is the programming language most used by data scientists. They tend to write and run their python code on Jupyter notebooks.
